Soya sauce drips on my hand, I wipe it off with a serviette and as I do, I accidentally brush over my newest wound. I bit of pus comes out – I’m very clumsy and always have cuts on my hands. This one isn’t healing as quickly as usual, I’m surprised by the pus and wipe over it again, carefully brushing off the scab. What I had thought was skin turns out to be a piece of wood.
