DescriptionLiving Wage are an ongoing series of ceramic sculptures, which start as birds eye drawings that resemble forms of archeological dig sites and burial mounds. These drawings are expanded upon, their map like features expanded into imagined rock formations or cairns, which in turn suggest something more bodily, more stomach like. Placed on the walls these can become medical maps or dioramas of entwined muscles, winding coils of intestinal structures that highlight an investigation into a breaking down and digestion of memory, of a material cannibalisation. As substance, history is reduced down and down to ashes, to rust, to slurry.
