DescriptionEmergency Turned Upside-Down (floor piece, 2016) takes its name and aesthetic from the corresponding film. The work features the overlapping (and newly arranged) borders of European states, allowing the visitor to trace the sometimes arbitrary confines which affect our lives so much. The piece consists of the borderlines of the states from the so-called Balkan route which was a central migration route used by refugees from Syria and the wider war-zone world in their attempt to reach the European Union.
